Chairman, President & CEO
Tim joined SYNCO Properties in 1983 as a Senior VP. Over the course of his 30+ years with the company he was promoted on several occasions, and in 2008 was appointed President & CEO.
Tim provides leadership and operational oversight for all of the company’s activities including property acquisition, financing, asset management, property management, rehabilitation, development, and disposition.
Prior to joining SYNCO, Tim was an officer with Spaulding & Slye Corporation and was a co-founder of Spectrum Properties in Charlotte.
Tim is an active leader within the multifamily industry. He is a past President of both the Apartment Association of North Carolina (AANC) and the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association (GCAA). He is on the Advisory Board of the GCAA Education Foundation. He also serves on the board of the Foundation for Affordable Housing in Laguna Beach, CA.
Tim earned a bachelor’s degree in German with a minor in economics from Davidson College, and an MBA degree with a specialization in real estate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Business Foundation of North Carolina Fellow.
